Abstract

PURPOSE: To let the operator discriminate the kinds of welding phenomena quantitatively and reduce his physical fatigue by detecting the fluctuation components of high-frequency welding characteristics, rectifying these and performing the superivising and controlling of the welding phenomena of the high-frequency electric welding by the rectified output values thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The detection signal from a high-frequency power detector 1 is passed through a filter 2 by which the higher harmonic components and DC components in the signal are removed and the fluctuation components of the welding point are fetched out and are inputted to a rectifier 3. The output from this rectifier 3 inputs to a display device 4, by which the value is supervised. The signal from the rectifier 3 is inputted to a heat input control unit 5 to control the heat input automatically to correct welding conditions. This unit 5, constituted by a operational amplifier, etc., compares the target welding phenomenon set value and the output value from the rectifier 3 and instructs the correct heat input. Next, this instruction is inputted to a thyristor type AC power control unit 6 which in turn controls the firing phase of a thyristor thereby controlling the plate voltage of an oscillation tube and performing the controlling of heat input. According to this unit, the fluctuation components of the welding phenomena may be supervised at all times and these may be controlled constant in real time.
