Abstract

PURPOSE: To make operation of flash photography simple by automatically stopping down aperture value to an optimum value when it has jueged that the subject is far and exposure becomes under-exposure at the preset aperture value.
CONSTITUTION: When the shutter is fully opened, synchronizing contacts 27 close to start flash emission. The reflected light from the subject by this is received in a measuring element 1, whose photometric output controls the collector current of a transistor 23 through the point B. This collector current is integrated by a capacitor 24, and when the charging voltage of the capacitor 24 reaches a certain level, the output of a switching circuit 26 inverts to become a low level and therefore the output of AND 22 also becomes a low level, thereby stopping the flash. At the same time, the switch 15 changes over to the contact on the lower side, by which the shutter speed is controlled at a constant value determined by the voltage of a power source 16 and is set at 1/60 second, etc.
