Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent abrasion of a contacting surface and assure smooth rotating movement by placing a carrier rotating at less speed than the output axis between the output axis of an internal combustion engine and a sun gear thereof being in a stationary state, not fitting directly the sun gear to the axis.
CONSTITUTION: When an engine 1 is started by the release of the assumulated force of a spiratl speing 5, an output axis 3 and a drive plate 9 are rotated unitedly. And when the inner member 12a of a clutch 12 for starting is expanded outward by the centrifugal force, the clutch 12 is connected, contacting under pressure with an outer member 12b. By this a ring gear 15a of a plantary gear mechanism 15 is rotated and the driving force given by the revolution of a planetary gear 15c is transmitted to a carrier 17. From a tube part 17b of the carrier 17 the driving force is taken out for a sprocket 19, through which the force is transmitted to a chain 20. According to this, the difference of relative speed of rotation between the output axis 3 and the carrier 17, and between the carrier 17 and the sun gear 15b can be made small, thus the desired purpose being realized.
