Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the bridging phenomenon of developer and achieve prevention of clogging by providing a striking device which gives vibrations to a sensor consisting of a coil connected to a detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A striking device 20 which gives vibrations intermittently to a sensor 17 positioned to the lower edge of a scraper plate 16 is provided near said sensor 17. This striking device 20 comprises providing an arm part 22 mounted rotatably by bearings, etc. to a spindle 21 for agitating vanes for revolving agitating vanes 18 by a driving mechanism, a striking part 23 opposing to a sensor 17 while being continuously provided to one end of said arm part 22 and continuously providing a tray 24 for receiving the developer 10 flowing down the scraper plate 16 to the other end of the arm part 22. Thereby, bridging may be broken by the vibrations of the striking device and clogging may be thereby prevented.
