Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove flashes on the inside of a joint part efficiently by providing cutters to face to the inside of the joint part of pipes heated and pressed for jointing, and bringing these cutters close to each other while pipes are under a high temperature.
CONSTITUTION: When a newly-furnished pipe B is jointed with an existing pipe A under heat and pressure, a front cutter 2 and a rear cutter 3 are provided to face to each other with inside flashes between. Cutters 2 and 3 are slided as facing to each other by the hydraulic operations of a cylinder 4 and a piston 7, and their edges 8 and 18 are brought in contact with the inside flashes. Flashes cut off by the contact of edges 8 and 18 are collected in a space 38 consisting of flash-escaping concaves 9 and 19. Since flashes are cut off during a state of high temperature, the work efficiency is highly promoted.
