Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform continuous folding and pressing of sheet, by pressure contacting the press roller continuously against folding roller array then cooperating said press roller with folding roller.
CONSTITUTION: Front half of sheet is fed between guideboards 48, 49 by means of rollers 26, 27 then blocked by the stopper 50, while the rear half is fed by rollers 27, 28 and at the space enclosed by rollers 27W29 and the leading edges 48a, 49a of guideboard the central portion of sheet is flexed downward, then said flexed portion is gnawed between the rollers 28, 29 to fold the sheet completely along center line. The sheet is furthermore gnawed between the rollers 29, 30 while inverting the rotation along guide member 51. the rollers 29, 30 are constituting press roller thus to feed the sheet between guideboards 53, 54 while strengthening the folding.
