Abstract

PURPOSE: To know focusing state with good accuracy even for the lenses of different F-numbers by adjacently installing a plurality of cylindrical lenses of generators parallel to the focal plane and whose directions mutually varry to said plane and deciding the alignment and misalignment of field images.
CONSTITUTION: Cylindrical lenses 31W33 of a radius of curvature r whose generators are parallel direction to the focal plane and whose generator directions vary mutually at 45° are provided to a focal plate 2, adjacently by way of boundary lines 61, 62. When an imaging lens 1 is focusing on the focal plate 2, the visual fields of the lenses 31W33 through the lens 1 align and when it is not focusing, the images produce misalignments with each other. Hence, when the field images through the focal plate 2 are viewed, the decision of the focusing state may be accomplished with ease and good accuracy. The lenses 31W33 consist of plural sets of two or more sets, such as 3 sets, of combinations, and therefore the field images by the disired combinations according to the F-number of the lens 1 are utilized and the focusing state is decided with good accuracy even for the lenses of different F-numbers.
