Abstract
PURPOSE:To align the original to engraving material from the intial plate printing with high accuracy by squeezing the transparent sheet which is held set with the original from the start position up to the final end position then once returning the same to the specified intermediate position to elimiate slack then performing the squeezing for exposure printing from the intermediate position. CONSTITUTION:The other end of a flexible transparent sheet which is fixed at one end to the fixing means 3 of a printing table 4 and is held set with the original 1 by means of adhesive tapes or the like so as to align to engraving materials 13... is connected to the hook 5 of a belt 6. If squeezing is done by moving a guide roller 14 and squeeze roller 15 from the start position A, then a slack occures in the sheet 2 at the shoulder part of the table 4. When the roller is once returned from the squeeze and C up to the intermediate position B on the table 4, the slack of the sheet 2 is eliminated by the revolution of the rollr 15. Hence, if the sheet is sequeezed by reciprocating the roller 15 between the intermediate position B and end C after this intial operation and is then subjected to exposure printing, the engraving material and original are aligned with good accuracy from the initial plate and good contact printing is accomplished.
