Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The filaments 2 extruded from the nozzle plate 1 are brought into contact with the driven roll 3 to be drafted, carried by the speed-regulating mechanism 4 at a constant speed, and introduced into the air sucker 5 continuously. At the outlet of the sucker 5, a sizing consisting of a liquid, such as water, or its droplets is applied to collect the filaments 2 into the weak filament yarn 8, which is contained in the receptacle 9. The constant speed of the filaments 2 by the mechanism 4 provides the collected yarn 8 of uniform quality.
