Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to observe easily the check result by inputting the check signal from the external and a random signal to a combinational logic circuit and by accumulating a part of the output in a feedback shift register.
CONSTITUTION: In the logic integrated circuit which incorporates FFs and has a general and regular structure, FF231, 232...23M are operated as a feedback shift register by the inputted control signal. At a normal operation time, output signals of FF231...23M are applied to combinational logic circuit 1 to perform a normal circuit operation. At a fault check time, the check signal inputted from the external and the random signal generated from random generating circuit 3 are inputted to circuit 1, and a part of the output signal of circuit 1 is accumulated in registers 231...23M. As a result, the check result can be observed easily.
