Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to print data on several lines with one command by a CPU to shorten the processing time of a program, by providing various registers in the printer.
CONSTITUTION: Data signal 116, address signal 106, and control signal 102 are outputted from a CPU through I/O bus 1. Then, switching signal 112 is outputted from decoder 103. By this signal 112, signals 104 and 116 are outputted to address line 4 and data line 115 respectively and are transferred to RAM7 through multiplexers 106 and 118 respectively. After that, write signal 109 wirtes data, which is sent from line 115, into the register in RAM7 through multiplexer 110. Thus, the print digit and data length are set to length registers 201 and 202 respectively. After the completion of print of one-line components, register 202 is counted down by 1, and print is continued until register 202 becomes 0.
