Abstract

PURPOSE: To record and reproduce a digital data which is almost free from an error by suppressing a timing axis error owing to the pattern effect, by controlling intensity of an output ray of the recording light source.
CONSTITUTION: The current value which is applied by a laser light source 1 is changed depending upon recording or reproduction, a intensity modulating light according to a recording signal is radiated, and it is projected to a disk 4 through a condensing lens 2 and a focusing lens 3. In this case, the recording signal is provided to a modified FM circuit 10 through FFs 6 and 7, also each signal corresponding to frequencies 1f, 1.5f and 2f is generated in accordance with combination of 3 bit inputs which are continued by a condition gate circuit 8 and monostable multivibrators 9aW9c, each frequency signal is extracted by synchronizing with a MFM signal, and it is output by adding 12 amplitude to the MFM signal in the regular ratio. Thus the intensity of an output ray is controlled depending upon a recording area or a non-recording area.
