Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide title laminated sheet and resin compsn. useful as materials for electrical components, obtd. by a method wherein a mixt. of a specified epoxy- modified 1,2-polybutadiene, a polymaleimide and a 2,4,6-tribromophenyl cpd. is thermoset in the presence of an org. peroxide.
CONSTITUTION: A mixt. of (a) an epoxy-modified 1,2-polybutadiene of formula I (wherein n is at least 1, preferably 4W200; m is 1W20), (b) a polymaleimide cpd. of formula II (wherein n is 0W5) and (c) a 2,4,6-tribromophenyl cpd. of formula III (wherein X is H, CH3) or a cpd. having at least two (meth)acryloyl gp. per molecule of formula IV (wherein X is Br, Cl; Y is H, CH3; m, n are 1W4; A is O, CO, SO2) is thermoset in the presence of an org. peroxide to obtain the desired resin compsn. Alternatively, sheet materials are impregnated with the mixt. in the presence of the org. peroxide, and cured to obtain the desired laminated sheet.
