Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the measurement precision and eliminate human error by indicating deflection patterns on a film by dividing them in several stages as bright and dark information pieces at dots in a required interval and indicating the position of measurement by the operator who observes the indicated picture image.
CONSTITUTION: The picture image of a film which is an object of measurement is detectd by a picture input device 1 as an assembly of lights and shades of dots in required intervals (for example, 10 microns), and a necessary number of dots are supplied in a memory device 2. Then, lights and shades at all dots of the detected values and the cordinate values are stored in the memory device 2, and are introduced into a computing device 3, where a computation to divide the degrees of lights and shades into five stages is carried out, and the result is indicated in five stages by an indicator 4.
