Abstract

PURPOSE:To end yarns effectively, by specifying the yarn holding method in tying the two yarns with the entanglement using an air jet at the central part of the piled ends of the yarns. CONSTITUTION:The upper yarn YU and the lower yarn YL are inserted into the hole 27 of the nozzle 1 and the knotting bills 2 and 3 along the guide plates 4-7. The yarn YU is bent by the yarn holder 9a and held by the knotting bill 3 at the lower end. The yarn YL is bent by the holder 9b and held by the knotting bill 2 at the upper end. After moving the holders 9a and 9b to the position of the chain line, air is jetted into the hole 27 to form a vortex. The yarn is released by the knotter on such a side that the twisting direction given to the yarns YU or YL may be coincident with that of the yarn.
