Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide heat cycle for cold rolled sheet steel with excellent workability without increasing the length of equipment by a method wherein gradual cooling zone consisting of group of divided heater and divided cooler which can be on and off in uniform heating zone of continuous annealing equipment. CONSTITUTION:In passing direction in uniform heating furnace 10 in annealing equipment, plural divided heaters 22 which can be on and off are installed facing steel strip. In each pass at the side of sheet steel outlet, are overlappingly installed divided type forced convection coolers which gradually cool steel strip by injecting, in multistage, slit type gas jet onto the both surfaces of steel strip. Divided heaters and coolers in each zone at each pass are properly on and off so as to obtain CQ, DQ, DDQ, grade heat cycles for target sheet steel, so that steel strip will have uniform heating required. The mechanism decreases the length of furnace, eliminates energy loss in the uniform heating zone, and provides cold rolled sheet steel with excellent workability in high productivity.
