Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance by providing chromate phosphate film and water-proof organic film thereon for the mating surface between aluminum tube and heat exchange medium.
CONSTITUTION: The aluminum tube 1 including the tank, inlet pipe and outlet pipe is immersed in solution for forming chromate phosphate film and then solution for forming water-proof organic film to provide each inner surface, particularly inner surface of the aluminum tube 1 with two layers of films; chromate phosphate film 12 and water-proof organic film 13. Heat-hardened type resin such as epoxy resin is used for water-proof organic film 13. By forming two layers of films in this way, aluminum tube is prevented from coming into direct contact with the heat exchange medium and deterioration of chromate phosphate film is delayed through the function of the organic film, thus improving corrosion resistance.
