Abstract

PURPOSE:A toothpaste composition without causing liquid separation, comprising an anionic and a Pluronic-type surfactants, and a specific binder. CONSTITUTION:A toothpaste composition comprising (A) an anionic surfactant, e.g. sodium lauryl sulfate, and (B) a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer-type nonionic surfactant, the Pluronic-type, as foaming agents, and (C) hydroxyethyl cellulose and/or xanthan gum as a binder in an amount of 0.3-20 wt.%, preferably 0.5-5 wt.%. The paste has a smooth surface and improved use feeling.
