Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively produce only a signal output from a magnetic sensor without being affected by a DC offset voltage by alternatingly differentially detecting a signal magnetic field and demodulating it.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetoresistance effect elements 1, 2 have a common conductor layer 4 through an insulating layer 3, and are formed in parallel on a substrate 5. The layer 4 is connected to an Ac oscillator 6 and applies an AC bias magnetic field having the same amplitude and the same phase to the elements 1, 2. The elements 1, 2 are driven by a constant current source circuit 7, and supply their outputs to a regenerative circuit 10. The circuit 10 differentially amplifies a signal in an amplifier 11, cuts off the DC offset component in the output waveform via a capacitor 35, rectifies the output waveform in a rectifier 13, integrates it in an integrator 14 and outputs a demodulated signal.
