Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect dust in good efficiency by a method wherein, in a blow down shaped electric dust collecting apparatus, a gas inflow side of a pocket electrode is opened to equalize the pressure of an interior and an exterior of a pocket electrode and gas is sucked equally from a whole pocket on a dust collecting electrode.
CONSTITUTION: When a gas stream is sent to a direction shown by an arrow A, a gas stream is flowed into to a direction shown by an arrow B also from an opening portion 102 of a pocket electrode 100 and provides the action sucking gas of discharge electrode 3 side from a pocket 104 provided to a pocket electrode 100. That is, the gas within an interior of a discharge electrode side of a pocket electrode 100 is sucked along a direction shown by an arrow C into a hollow interior of a pocket electrode 100 from all pockets 104 of a pocket electrode 100. Therefore, because a gas stream is uniformly flowed into a hollow interior of a pocket electrode from pockets thereof, the function as a dust collecting electrode can be sufficiently exhibited.
