Abstract
PURPOSE: A latex is incorporated with a vulcanizer, accelerator, zinc powder, and short fibers of cellulose, foamed, geled and vulcanized, thus producing foam rubber that can absorb water rapidly just when immersed in water.
CONSTITUTION: To a latex are added more than 1%, based on the solid part of the latex, of a vulcanizer, accelerator, zine powder and cellulose fibers of less than 5 mm length, and the composition is foamed in an automatic foaming machine, casted into a mold, geled, then vucanized.
