Abstract

PURPOSE: The device for polyester production is cleaned using a citric acid aqueous solution, whereby inorganic strange substances are cleaned and removed without the errosion of the device.
CONSTITUTION: After the device for the polyester production is cleaned by using glycols as ethylene glycol or triethylene glycol with heat at 250W260°C, an aqueous citric acid solution of higher than 0.1 wt%, preferably 0.5W2 wt% concentration is charged into the device and heated to over 50°C for longer than half hour, preferably 2W5 hours.
