Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heat resistant Ni-Cr-W alloy excellent in workability and high temperature strength by incorporating a specific proportion of Cr and W, or further Mn, Si and Al into Ni contg. small amount of Ti, Nb and Zr.
CONSTITUTION: The object alloy consists of C: 0.05W0.10%, Ti or Nb in a single or compounded form: 0.5% or less, Zr<0.10%, Cr and W: Cr/W=0.8W2.3 and Cr+W: 30W33% and the remaining Ni. Alternatively the object Ni-Cr-W alloy further contains one or more of Mn<2%, Si<1.0% and Al<0.5%. This alloy is designed to have an optimum ltattice conformity of M23C6 type carbide and absic austenite, so that maximum M23C6 carbide precipitation strengthening action can be developed without contg. Co. As compared with conventional solid-solution strengthening type alloy, the alloy has a higher creep rupture strength.
