Abstract
PURPOSE: An agricultural dust preparation that is made by adding a drift preventive consisting of a glycerol ethylene oxide adduct, thus showing reduced drift when applied and less environmental pollution with high safety to the sprayers and cattles.
CONSTITUTION: Said drift preventive is produced by adding ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide to glycerol in the presence of an alkali catalyst such as potassium hydroxide at 100W150°C to lead to a block or random glycerol ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide adduct of 1,000W10,000 average molecular weight having neutral and chemically stable properties. For example, an insecticide dust preparation is mixed with 0.5W5wt% of the above drift preventive, when necessary, mineral dust carrier such as clay and fixing agent and other assistants in order. Finally, they are blended homogeneously and crushed to give said composition.
