Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain said formed article whose particular part is formed of resin grains having desired properties and whose boundary layers of different kinds of resin are clear, by filling two or more kinds of foaming thermoplastic resin grains into a forming metal mould in sequence by a particular method. CONSTITUTION:Two or more kinds of resin grains of different materials, expansion ratios and colours are used. Arranging metal moulds 1 and 2 in a state with a cracking C and jetting air alone into a cavity a from a filling gun 9, the material in a hopper 8 is filled into a lower concave cavity a1 with a filling gun 10. Next, the material in a hopper 7 is filled into a space including an upper concave part a2, and in the state with the filling ports 3 and 4 closed, the moulds are clamped, then steam is supplied into the cavity a to heat-foam the resin materials and they are formed into one solid article of desired form.
