Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent seizing in the dry operation by setting up a fluorine plastic inner cylinder between a shaft and a rubber intermediate cylinder whose cross- section is polygonal and improving the PV value for the wear of a bearing.
CONSTITUTION: The cross-section of the rubber intermediate cylinder of the bearing 3 is formed into a polygon, the fluorine plastic inner cylinder 6 is set up on its inner surface 7, and the shaft 1 is fit to the inner surface of the inner cylinder 6. Fluid is pressed in on the surface 10 of the shaft 1 which is adjacent to the side 9 of the polygon on the inner surface of the inner cylinder 6 when the shaft 1 rotates, thereby increasing the pressure of a fluid film and improving the bearing load capacity. The use of the fluorine plastic also increases the PV value against wear and reduces the wear.
