Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance incineration efficiency by constructing a slant furnace bed, which comprises an upper portion located directly below a to-be-incinerated matter charging port and a lower portion having an ash discharge port, in the form of a continuous curved or flat plane and providing the bed with zigzag-arranged down- directed air injection ports.
CONSTITUTION: The furnace bed 2 of a primary combustion chamber 1 is so constructed that it consists of a continuous curved plane and its upper portion is located directly below a to-be-incinerated matter charging port 6 and its lower portion is an ash discharge port 7, and is provided with zigzag-arranged down-directed air injection ports 9. The side walls are also provided with air injection ports 9' along the bed 2. The to-be-incinerated matter charged from the port 6 slide down on the bed 2 toward the port 7 while being combusted. The combustion gases blowing up and the hot air injected from the ports 9 and 9' cause the matter to slide along zigzag paths, which enhances the incineration efficiency.
