The signals sent from heads 1A and 1B are sent to changeover switching circuit 16 via reproducing head amplifiers 15A and 15B. And the reproduced video signal sent from output terminal 20 of circuit 16 undergo the line conversion and color conversion processes to obtain the normal NTSC signal. Now in case the PAL system is converted into the NTSC system, the reproduced video signal from terminal 20 is sent to luminance/color signal isolating circuit 21 to isolate the color signal.
