Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a burner from clogging due to scattering or overflow of boiled cooking foods by a method wherein a pivoting means to turn a burner cap on the gas burner being interlocked with an operating knob is provided.
CONSTITUTION: In case a burner 2 is ignited, when an operating knob 9 is pivoted, a cock shaft and a cam plate 10 secured thereto are pivoted integrally and a connecting rod 13 is moved by being pushed at an end portion thereof with an inclined cam surface 10a of the cam plate 10. Thereby, a burner cap 5, engaged with an upright end portion of the connecting rod 13 and releasably put on an opening end of the burner 2, is pivoted circumferentially by an arc length corresponding to a size of one or two sets of flame ports. On the other hand, when the operating knob 9 is returned to an initial position upon extinguishing fire, the burner cap 5 is pivoted into an opposite direction in a similar manner, thereby, clogging of the burner 2 may be prevented.
