Abstract

PURPOSE: To constitute a high frequency heating chamber with double structure and plan to improve a thermal efficiency as well as facilitate cleaning after cooking by a method wherein a guard plate having a high frequency wave passing port on a part thereof is provided in the high frequency heating chamber.
CONSTITUTION: An index box 3 constituting a high frequency heating chamber 2 is provided in the high frequency heating device main frame 1. A ceiling surface 4 of the inner box 3 is provided with an oscillating port 5 communicated with a high frequency oscillator 7 through a waveguide 6. Upper and lower heaters 9, 10 are attached to upper and lower portion of the heating chamber 2 so as to have distances between the ceiling surface 4 and a bottom surface 8 respectively. A guard plate 11 made of an enamel finished rectangular metallic plate bent into a channel- shaped configuration is releasably received within the heating chamber 2 to constitute the heating chamber with a double structure. Both of lower end portions of both side plates 13 of the guard plate 11 are put on insulating blocks 17 provided on the bottom surface 8 at both corner portions of the heating chamber 2 and are insulated from the inner box 3.
