Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a memory multiplexing system of a microcomputer by which numbers of different processings can be executed, by automatically or manually selecting and using several ROMs having programs which begin with the same address.
CONSTITUTION: Memories 3W5 have programs whose execution start addresses are all the same and whose contents of processing are different. A microcomputer executes the same operation and generates different results depending upon the contents of the memory, even if any memory of the foregoing is connected. Now, in case an automatic interruption which selects the memory 3 is generated from the main computer 9, the microcomputer 1 gives a memory 3 connection command to a memory circuit 10, by which it is connected to the memory 3, and the operation is started. A manual interruption is carried out by depressing changeover switches 6W8 of an operator's console 2. In case a system is extended, it is attained by only adding a memory in which programs are written and a memory for connection.
