Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide title paint which has excellent weathering resistance, water resistance and ozone resistance, and produces coating film having rubber elasticity, consisting of α,ω-dihydroxypoly(diorganosiloxane), an inorg. filler, an org. solvent, a film stabilizer and an organosilicon cpd.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. of α,ω-dihydroxypoly(diorganosiloxane) of the formula (wherein R is substd. or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon; n is a number which gives a viscosity of 20W1,000,000 at 25°C), (B) 30W250pts.wt. of an inorg. filler such as silica or TiO2, (C) 10W300pts.wt. of a film stabilizer selected from glass bead, glass fiber, asbestos, slag powder, slag wool, and cured silicone rubber, and (D) 0.1W30pts.wt. of an organosilicon cpd. contg. an average of at least two organoaminoxy gp. (bonded to Si of (A)) per molecule, are added to 50W400vol% (based on the combined amount of A and B) of an org. solvent such as xylene or trichloroethylene.
