Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an automatic adjustment of printing pressure by a method wherein a computer program for controlling an electric current flowing in a driving circuit is arranged so as to measure a required time for the divided spaces upon acceptance of the output of the encoder.
CONSTITUTION: The outputs from rotary encoders 3 and 4 which are cooperated with a type bar are converter to a pulse train via a Schmitt trigger and a mono- stable multivibrator just after an energization of the type bar 1 and then the number of pulses are started to be counted. The solenoid current in case of energization is set in advance to the highest value under a control of the transistor. A time between one pulse and the subsequent pulse as well as the number of pulses are counted by a time base generator or in response to the number of soft loops, then if the measured value is higher than the predetermined value, a type bar solenoid is set to an acceleration side and to the contrary if it is smaller than the predetermined value, it is set to a deceleration side and a similar control operation is continued, all the number of pulses are reached to that of the condition just before starting printing and at that time an electric current in the typebar solenoid is turned off.
