Abstract
PURPOSE: The above mentioned parts, able to keep the lubricating property without oiling extending over a long period, by using the electrolyte having a specific composition and carrying out a low temperature chromium diffusion plating treatment on the surface of metal and impregnating the lubricating substances on obtained spongy plating layer.
CONSTITUTION: Small-sized metal parts used for the friction sliding part, such as bearing, spindle etc., is electrolytically treated by dipping in low temperature chromium diffusion plating bath added Ba salt and organic acid, such as acetic acid etc., in chromic acid aqueous solution. Next, lubricated surface layer is formed by impregnating the lubricating substances, such as mineral oil, soft metal, graphite, sulfide, fluoride, oxide, nitride, selenide, telluride, and fluororesin etc., in spongy chromium diffusion layer formed on the metal surface. By the above method, dimension accuracy and durability of the parts, can be maintained extending over a long period.
