PURPOSE: To reduce noxious ingredients in exhaust gas effectively by transmitting a negative pressure in a Venturi tube to an exhaust gas return control valve controlled by a negative pressure in a suction manifold alternatively for increasing the opening degree of the control valve for high speed revolutions of an engine.
CONSTITUTION: Suction and exhaust passages 1 and 2 are connected by a return passage 3 provided with an exhaust gas return control valve 7. A suction negative pressure near a throttle valve 4 is introduced into a negative pressure chamber 8 of the control valve 7 via the second control valve 27, and acts to a negative pressure chamber 14 of the first control valve 13 for regulating a negative pressure of a suction manifold in a branch passage 12. The negative pressure in this passage 12 is transmitted to a negative pressure chamber 21 of the third control valve 30, and regulates the negative pressure of a Venturi tube 22 to be transmitted to the negative pressure chamber 8 of the control valve 7. Consequently, the opening degree of the control valve 7 is increased. When the negative pressure in the Venturi tube is increased, the second control valve 27 is closed, and the negative pressure in the Venturi tube is directly introduced into the negative pressure chamber 8.
