Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the control of fuel flow rate by increasing specific fuel injection quantity through partial change of flow method from continuous method to intermittent method as well as simplify the device through mechanical operation.
CONSTITUTION: When a discharge of working oil of plunger pump 1 is completed, pluger 21 shifts to descent stroke and the differencial pressure valve 9 is opened in accordance with the descent of piston 13. Simultaneously, fuel quantity is adjusted through variable slit 22 at the descent stroke of plunger 21. The descent stroke time of plunger 21 is adjusted through fixed diaphragm 6 for leak of discharge room 5. Accordingly, if descent stroke time of plunger 21 is fixed within approximately one half of the minimum rotation time of cam 2, it is possible to keep the descent stroke time fixed irrespective to the rotation speed of engine and consequently to facilitate the control of fuel injection quantity.
