Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce rapidly engine output during over-revolution by connecting a signalling circuit to prevent over-revolution with three terminals, i.e. a connection between an excitor coil and diode, a gate of ignition thyristor and the other end of said coil. CONSTITUTION:When rotational speed of engine is raised to a set rotational frequency, triangular wave V13b having a higher wave height value of voltage produced across both ends of a capacitor 13 in a signalling circuit 9 for preventing over-revolution and corresponding to the wave height value of output voltage of an excitor coil 5 reaches zener voltage e2 across a zener diode 14 so that the zener diode 14 is broken down to give ignition signal to a thyristor 4. Hence the thyristor 4 is conductive in a phase position thetai, advancing an angle alpha from the normal ignition position thetai, at which position thetai' ignition occurs. By setting this advance angle alpha to a proper one can be reduced rapidly the engine output.
