Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a resin composition with excellent heat resistance and weather resistance, by adding a polynuclear polyhydric phenol ester of an alkylthiocarboxylic acid to a petroleum resin or a cumarone resin.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of (A) an aliphatic petroleum resin based on 4W5C fraction an aromatic petroleum resin based on 9C fraction or a cumarone resin or the like, 0.001W5pts.wt., pref. 0.01W3pts.wt. of a polynuclear polyhydric phenol ester of an alkylthiocarboxylic acid (B) shown by the formula (wherein R is 1W32 alkyl, A is di-to teruhydric polynuclear polyhydric phenol residue; n is 1W5; a is 1W4; b is 0W3) and, according to recessity, 0.001W10pts.wt., pref. 0.1W3pts.wt. of an org. acid metal salt (C) such as zinc octylate or calcium stearate are added.
