Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of the wrinkle and breaking at the deep drawing work, by laminating the plastic film of specified thickness on the sheet of aluminium or aluminum-alloy, and by carrying out the press forming work using the oily lubricant of a specified viscosity.
CONSTITUTION: On both surfaces of aluminum or aluminum-alloy sheet to be formed, a plastic film of thickness 40W100μ, soft polyethylene or vinyl, etc., for example, is laminated without interposing oily lubricant. The press forming work is carried out after applying oily lubricant of viscosity 40W200cst(50°C) to the surface of above laminated plastic film or to the surface of the forming die. This plastic film acts as a sort of oil film; and by the mutual action of the plastic film and the oily lubricant, the plastic film does not break under a severe forming condition, so that especially in the deep drawing, the product with good shape can be formed without generating the wrinkle and breaking.
