Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the metallic aluminum quantity in a composite plating coating layer with a high precision simply by soaking the composite plating coating layer including metallic aluminum powder in an alkaline solution and measuring the gas quantity generated in a fixed time.
CONSTITUTION: A composite plating coating material which is a tested object is soaked in a strong alkaline solution over pH 12, and the quantity of H2 gas generated within a fixed time (approximately several minutes) is measured, and the quantity of metallic aluminum in the tested object is measured on a basis of the correlation (shown in the figure) between the aluminum eutectic quantity and the generated gas quantity.
