Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare an aromatic composition capable of retaining a large amount of perfumery, etc. in high stability, by using dibenzylidenesorbitol as an adsorbent of perfumery.
CONSTITUTION: Perfumery or an aromatic substance (e.g. cyclamen perfumery, lemon flavor, vanillin, etc.) is mixed with dibenzylidenesorbitol, directly or in water, to obtain the objective aromatic composition containing the adsorbed perfumery, etc. The adsorption is carried out by (1) dissolving dibenzylidenesorbitol in hot DMF or DMA, (2) adding the perfumery to the solution to form a homogeneous mixture, (3) pouring the mixture into cold water to obtain white precipitate, and (4) separating and drying the precipitate to obtain powder containing the perfumery.
