Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas of a combustion equipment at a preset level by determining the air-fuel ratio from the fuel flow and the desired exhaust gas oxygen concentration, and controlling the fuel flow by using the value obtained from arithmetical operations for the product obtained from the air-fuel ratio and the theoretical amount of air and the fuel flow.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel flow is detected by the second fuel-flowmeter 9, and the percentage of excess air, which is computed by a function computing element 10, is multiplied by the theoretical amount of air obtained by a computing element 12, in a multiplier 11 in order to obtain the setting air-flow. The setting air-flow is input to an air-flow controller 13 which opens and closes an air-flow control valve 15 according to the deviation between the setting air-flow and the actual air flow measured by an air flowmeter 14 of a combustion-air supply pipe 17, in order to control the supplied air flow so as to be the setpoint. The furnace pressure is kept constant by opening and closing an exhaust gas damper 16 through a controller 19 according to the deviation between the pressure detected by a pressure gauge 20 and the set pressure. Thus, a change in the oxygen concentration in exhaust gas can be restrained within the range of the value in the fuel heat quantity.
