Abstract

PURPOSE: To cope with various kinds of demand time through the operation of a demand time shifting means, by providing the shifting means for a demand register which counts the oscillation pulses of an electric energy meter, which has an oscillator, to measure the demand energy.

CONSTITUTION: Pulses, which are generated by the electric energy meter 1 having an oscillator and are proportional to the demand, are conducted through a pulse conversion circuit 2 and then frequency-divided by a frequency divider circuit 3, the frequency division output of which is conducted through a changeover circuit 4 and then counted by the demand energy counter 5. The counted value is converted into a BCD code or the like. The changeover circuit 4 is shifted to various kinds of demand time such as thirty or sixty minutes by a changeover switch 12. A reference signal, which is produced by a reference signal generation circuit 8 to measure demand time, is frequency-divided by another frequency divider circuit 9, the frequency division output of which is conducted through another changeover circuit 10 whose demand time is shifted by the changeover switch 12. The frequency division output is then applied to a demand time counter 11 to measure the demand time. When a prescribed number of reference signals are counted, the counter 11 is reset. At the same time, the other counter 5 is also reset and the maximum value of the counter at the end of the demand time is stored into a circuit 6.
