Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the thickness of a timepiece and improve its external appearrance, by using the engagement of a hand of small thickness with the conductive part of an alarm plate to cause switching action.
CONSTITUTION: An alarm wheel 6 is insulated from a hand 4 of small thickness by an insulating layer 5a' provided on the surface of the alarm wheel. Alarm time or the like is set by an alarm plate 5'. When the alarm plate is engaged with the hand 4 of small thickness and constant hand deviation torque, an alarm generation circuit for rotating a cylinder wheel 1 and a dial 3 is closed. Since a contact spring and an alarm hand are not needed and the gap between the hand 4 and the alarm plate is decreased, the size of a timepiece is reduced and its external appearance is improved.
