Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to use a cassette tape on the market through simple operation and with simple conssitution, by equipping a magnetic recording head, etc., which records a machine feed control signal of each axis on the cassette tape.
CONSTITUTION: A group of magnetic recording heads 23 are provided. The power switch is turned ON with a cassette tape mounted on the recorder and when high- density recording is required, X-axis button 11X, positive-direction button 13+ and pulse-number setting key 12 are depressed with knob 15 adjusted to a higher frequency. As a result, the number of pulses including the negative direction is displayed and stored in counter 21X and X-axis positive-direction oscillation circuit 24 is driven. With recording start button 14 depressed, the recording motor starts 27 to supply a desired number of driving pulses from pulse oscillation circuit 22X to recording head 23X and at the same time, a positive-direction signal of a higher frequency than that of driving pulses is sent from positive-direction signal oscillation circuit 24X to head 23, so that head 23X will record driving pulses with the superposed positive-direction signal on the magnetic tape.
