Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a decorative, long-durable three-dimensional pattern, by mixing a specific proportion of methyl methacrylate-styrene-butadien copolymer and polyethylene particles into solvent-type coating material of alkyd resin type, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A coating composition consists of 100pwt.wt. based on solid, of resin components in a solvent-type coating material based on alkyd resin, polyester resin, etc., 30W120pts.wt. methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer, and 0.8W10pts.wt. of polyethylene particles. This coating material is coated on the surface of substrate and then dried. The obtained coated layer is multicolored and clear, having three-dimensional feeling, and is excellent in coating properties such as hardness and wear resistance.
