Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the title glass run having high abrasion resistance and low sliding friction under particular conditions, by coating the surface of a polyvinyl chloride resin substrate with a coating composition composed of specific urethane prepolymers, a metallic soap, and a silicone oil, and curing the coating layer.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of an automobile glass run composed of a polyvinyl chloride resin substrate is coated with a coating composition obtained by dissolving (A) 100pts.wt. of an OH-terminated urethane prepolymer prepared by reacting (a) an OH-terminated polyester synthesized from a 3W6C diol, a 4W6C dicarboxylic acid and less than 1wt%, based on the above components, of a low molecular weight triol, with (b) a diisocyanate, wherein NCO:OH is 0.6W0.95:1, (B) 1W 150pts. of an NCO-terminated urethane prepolymer prepared by reacting a low molecular weight triol with a diisocyanate, wherein NCO:OH is 3:1, (C) 2W100pts. of a metallic soap, and (D) 5W200pts. of a silicone oil, in a solvent; and the coating layer is cured.
