Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable one both to repair a damaged article and to perform the test quickly by examining a waterproof camera by using the air pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the camera.
CONSTITUTION: Since only a battery room 2 and a back cover 3 can freely be opened and closed in the waterproof camera, a cap 12 of the battery room 2 is removed, an air pump 17 is connected to the camera with a connecting pipe 18 through a pressure gauge 15 and valve 16, and a test cap 19 by which the camera room communicates with the pipe 18 is mounted on the camera. After the test cap 19 is set, the air pump 17 is operated to draw the air of the camera room through the hole 21, and when the pressure gauge 15 indicates a fixed degree of reduced pressure, the valve 16 is closed. Since a change of the reduction degree is gradually shown by the indicator of the pressure gauge 15 if a fault is present in the watertight structure of each part, the fact that there exists a defect of the waterproof in the camera can be known. Also the hole 21 that communicates with the connecting pipe 18 can be provided to the back cover 3.
