Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a continuous printing paper position detecting mechanism and facilitate handling thereof by providing a position detection mark, detecting the mark on the side of the printing device, and positioning the printing paper in recognition of the existing position of the paper.

The mark 12 is detected by OMR elements 10, and a mark detecting signal is sent to the central processing unit and an initial printing position 13 of a succeeding sheet 11' is recognized. By this recognition, a printing command is issued, and the printing is started by the line printer. In a case where the mark 12 is printed on a position deviated from an initial printing device 13, the paper is fed at n pitch by the command based on prefabricated software and the designated position is set in the front of a printing hammer 14. By this procedure, the setting of the paper is completed, and the printing is started by the printing command.
