Abstract

PURPOSE: An adhesion accelerator that is composed of a silicon compound having oxime and alkoxy groups, thus aiding suitably the highly durable adhesion of a silicone composition curable at room temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Said adhesion accelerator is composed of a silicone compound having one or more oxime groups directly linking with Si atom and one or more alkoxy groups linking with Si atom in the molecule wherein the total number of oxime groups and alkyoxy groups is 4 or more. The oxime group linking with Si atom is, e.g., acetaldoxime, methyl phenyl hetoxime and the alkoxy group linking with Si atom is, e.g., methoxy, cyclohexanoxy. The adhesion accelerator is, e.g., di-(acetoaldoxime)-dimethoxysilane or methyl phenyl ketoxime-trimethoxy silane.
